Devotionals/ Small Groups
When a child of God goes through periods of brokenness, it doesn’t mean that their gift is gone. The gift that God has given His children is still relevant, especially in their brokenness. We must work through that brokenness by reaching inward and working on ourselves.
If a child of God has fallen, it doesn’t mean they have lost their saint status. We must reach out to those that have fallen and help them up. You are still set aside for a divine purpose because the gifts and the callings of God are without repentance.
Just because a believer is imperfect, doesn’t mean they are limited in doing the significant. We gain our strength from Christ so we must always reach upward to Him. “I can do all things which strengthen me through Jesus Christ.”
"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body." (2 Corinthians 4:8-10)
What We Believe
We walk beside families and their members to help them navigate beyond the speed bumps, challenges & setbacks they encounter, journeying toward life & family goals to achieve social, mental, and economic health & stability. Our success is dependent upon our ability to:
· Understand the precipitating factors
· Plot a realistic & reachable course with prescribed steps and measurable outcomes
· Introduce & examine new life possibilities & implement plans of pursuit with strategic checkpoints
· Link people/households to community groups that nourish & foster continued growth & development
The aim is to not only help individuals identify the obstacles that continuously get in their way, but discover the root of the problem, then assist with pinpointing any resistance to change and setting a course for change. We use a practical short-term approach for getting people back on track by visualizing and focusing on the desired outcome first instead of focusing on the problem. The outcome dictates the process rather than the process dictating the outcome. Our approach utilizes outcome-focused conversations and a framework for change.
